While fighting my way through the druid camp, I took the elevator down and the gobbos followed the path (ya know, like a pincer move!). In doing so there was one druid in the grove ready to fight, and then a bunch behind a locked stone door that were aggro'd but didn't do anything. So I had to fight that one druid while the others inside "planned" forever. Then, when I made it around, the drow was fighting a group of tiefling's by herself at 0 life with apparent plot armor on. 3 of the tieflings were bugged, so they just "planned their next move" the whole fight while I beat them down. Then I go back to the grove (not realizing that the drow went into some other room with cows), and now it's full of everybody who was behind the locked stone door. I have 4 gobbo compatriots in the grove whom get slaughtered immediately, and I'm left to clear out the rest of the grove myself (seems like some reasonably pathetic back up?).
I think the issue here is that the game assumes I'm going to approach the assault from one direction and cannot adapt to the path I actually take.
