Hi.

I've found that if I approach the owlbear with my 3 companions the owlbear attacks immediately. However if I get there alone the cinematic triggers and I have some dialogue.
It ends on combat anyways but I was wondering if anybody knows why it attacks when going with my companions.

Not sure, I never managed to get a cine...

Either Rogue approached alone, got noticed, and attacked (fought, quicksaved, and reloaded to try with "Speak Animals" character)
I think when I approached with the "Speaker" I was with my group, and couldn't get a talk option.
I ended up just chalking it up to pissed off animal with spear bits stuck in him, and am now wondering if I still have that save...

Yup, still do.

Speak with Animals character was able to talk to him, first use of [One Eye] Trait I've seen. But, only when approaching by himself.
When approaching as a group there is a tiny Cinematic, about the Owl approaching, then he attacks.
If approached alone, the cinematic (as above) continues on, allowing interaction / speech.

It could be intentional, the Owlbear does have "Distressed" and maybe just reacts defensively?

Casting healing word on the owlbear removes distressed and makes things much simpler. I dont even think there was a roll with my ranger after that. Critters tend to be less pissy when they dont have a spear poking in them.
