I've only played for 17 hours, but once I discovered the broken stealth hit and run mechanic, the game became too easy. To make this happen, simply pick a ranged weapon or spell. Stay away from the enemy, start the battle. Hit it with anything, go back to a place outside it's field of view and use the hide function. The enemy will not know your character's location and will pass it's turn. All you have to do now is to repeat this hit and run and it's all over. I've killed difficult bosses using just that with a single character. It's so broken it feels wrong.

Hell you can even do that with a melee. Approach fr behind, hit the monster and use "hide" while it has its back turned to you. He will pass it's turn and you can profit. Other monsters in combat will do it too.

Obs: there are some cases where the enemy will go to random places in search of the players, but it rarely is an issue for ranged characters, so it's not too much of a hassle to avoid.

Please make all enemies search for the player. I don't want another "it must have been the wind" moment every time.

Mithara does this, if you hit her from the rafters she will run and *try* to get to you.

Maybe they could add it to trash mobs as well, but bosses go searching at least.

Well stealth is supposed to be good... at times.

Right now "Disadvantage on stealth" from armor doesn't really come up. The enemy's sight cone needs to come over you for a check, so sound doesn't seem to play a part.

Further more being able to use Hide as a bonus action. This is what makes the hit and run tactic work, and why this change Larian made to combat mechanics in 5e not good.
Only Rogues are supposed to be allowed to hide as a bonus action...

That is a good point that only rogues should be able to do that. I guess this would solve the issue for the most part of the cast, so players wouldn't even know that this mechanic exists. The only way for the player to discover that would be by either creating a rogue or playing with Astarion and trying new things with a character that is not the main character. However, the ones that do know about this mechanic would still be able to break the game, in my opinion.

About stealth, I had an interesting experience yesterday in the crypt. I was in stealth to kill the remaining revenants and two of them were packed together near a column. I was already engaged in combat.

After succeeding a stealth check, I went away from their cone of vision. But then when I finished my movement and ended my turn, something strange happened. One of them started to turn in my direction and I had to make a new stealth check. I found it pretty amazing and thought: "Is it a glitch or they actually use other types of perception in the game to orient the creatures a bit in case they perceive something fishy around them?" Cause I hadn't seen the revenant do that in the previous turns.

I think this is on purpose because some enemies move in a predefined direction to search for the player, I guess. I was playing against the Phase Spider Mathriarc and she would send her underlings to find me after the first hit against her. I had to load and replay that fight multiple times and no matter my positioning after the first attack, the underlings seemed to only go in a specific direction, even though my characters were in the opposite direction. I guess Larian tried to predict from where it is most probable that the player will try to stealth/attack from. In the end, I sneaked up to the boss' back and applied the strategy and she eventually died without actually playing a single turn.
