The "jump to explore" floating tip is also misleading and ubiquitous. There's rarely anything to explore like that. More likely you're going to crash and die prone on rocks while the camera goes full spaz mode.
Agreed, it should be handled just like the Us brain in the prologue. Companions should just warp to position if they're chained.
Having companions block movement or jumps is wildly frustrating. There's no need for that at all! Party members shouldn't body block each other. Body blocking hostile enemies or neutrals sure, but not fellow party members or summons or friendlies.
Its so silly that you can be trapped by your own party members, especially in TB combat. Having a party member simply step aside to let you pass by would make a lot more sense than like jumping over your companions again and again, and wasting an action cause its the only way to not have the path interrupted or redirected.
