One of the things I have been thinking about is the start of the game, as in, the character creation screen. When looking at this screen you can see the various characters that you will meet throughout the story.
For myself, I would like to be able to eventually (perhaps after completing the game the first time) be able to create an entire custom party. So, if I wanted the option to have a party of all Drow, all Wood Elf, Orc etc I would be able to create each one and design my own ideal party.
I think something like this would add to the flavor of the RPG in allowing things such as Drow raiding parties or the creation of a holy order so to speak.
Something like this, at least for myself, sounds very interesting and fun.
I imagine having a Drow raiding party or recreating Drizzt’s group, where they are captured by mind flayers and escaping the ship, only to find out their journey is not as simple as finding a healer.
Something like this makes me imagine an epic journey and allows for tons of replay value compared to using pre-scripted characters.
