So I’ve been using pikes & halberds in this early access.
It seems ridiculous that these over scaled weapons are being sheathed on your back. Additionally while using these weapons, especially the halberd, it looks to me you guys already have a perfect sheathed animation for the halberd when opening your character sheet. Please use the character sheets idle pose/animation for halberds and pikes when sheathing these large weapons instead of hanging them on your back. Thank you

There have been a few threads on implementing side scabbards for weapons rather than the back scabbard, but I think most dealt with one-handed weapons.

I am firmly in the same camp as you, I abhore back scabbards as creatures of CRPGs that have somehow become established as a real thing. Others say that back scabbards have featured in other CRPGs so are 'canon' for similar games.

Trying to run about in 'the real world' with an 8-foot halberd strapped to your back is something I imagine would only happen once, but I suppose that CRPG animators have limited options when it comes to showing characters swapping their two-handed weapon for a bow or flask. Putting it down or handing it to someone else probably wouldn't work. Dropping your +3 Halberd o'Fiery Death then running off and forgetting where you lost it would be frustrating.
