Make sure all your herbs are being carried by the person with the Extract skill. Providing you have the right types, you should then be able to manufacture potions.

Quoting Kiya; As you can see in the following list, there are 7 different plants you need to make all potions with the "extract" skill. You will only get level 3-5 in Act 4. Empty flasks are not required. Level 1 => small potions Level 2 => medium potions Level 3 => large level 4 => large (stronger) + permanent potions + holy water (quest reward) level 5 => large (even more stronger) + perm potions in vitality, mana, stamina are stronger, too.
vitality => red, blue mana = green, pink stamina => white, orange strength => red, blue, yellow int => white, green, pink agility => white, orange, green survival => red, blue, green con => orange, yellow, pink speed => orange, white, yellow
restoration => can only be done with the "combine skill" => dragging red over blue potions. Welcome to the forum.

I posted something in another thread about this, and I'm having the same problem. All 7 types of herbs are with the one character that knows the alchemy extract skill (level 3). Right-clicking on a bunch of herbs brings up the Alchemy Laboratory menu, but all of the potion options are grayed out!
Slightly , but has anyone else had a problem in the battlefields where the enemies are INSIDE the walls? I'm on Dungeon 2 of Act II and every dungeon has had a slew of enemies which I couldn't get to!

yup i've had.. :- enemies outside of the play area that can attack you with arrows if your at a corner. :- impossible to get to stairways because a wall is blocking the only path.

I've had enemies out side the play area in just about every dungeon, but not to many that it would affect leveling up..

I'm having the same alchemy problem -- I made potions once but have never been able to again, even with a wide variety of plants with the right character.
I've also had the baddies-inside-walls problem. It actually happened with a couple of Citadel soldiers but since they weren't ranged and I was it was actually rather nice, I shot them and they didn't do anything about it.

Palidor do you have the char with the skill selected? Either as single or as leader of the group?

Palidor, is the alchemy char the leading one? Or in single mode?

Yeah, definitely! I've made sure it's the right character. Still doesn't work. Oh well, I suppose it's not a big deal since I have more potions than I need and keep finding more. Just have to recycle my skill points onto a more useful skill.

Side alchemy question: Can you do anything with the mushroom patches this time, or are they just there?

How about Augmentor? I noticed a patch next to the poisonous mushroom and scattered Imps in Act 2 -- is that decor, too?
You will rue the day you opposed me! Begin your rueing! I'll just... sit over here... and watch.

One of the hardest things about playing I found was forgetting all the rules I learned in
Empty bottles do nothing. Mushrooms do not become potions. Crosses in the charm slots on items do not mean you need to find a charm skill... Scary stuff

My bad. I went to recycle my supposed level 3 alchemy extract skill... only to find out I had a level 3 combine skill! Oopsies. Sorry to everybody who tried to help me out.

Lynn is aware of this now. I am sure a fix will soon be coming.
