Before you read, attention, there is a very minor spoiler:

After taking the raft you can (I don't know if you can avoid it) have a fight with another raft that approches you from the opposite way.
In that fight my main character, a Githyanki Ranger, fell into the water and died, shit happens the thing that I don't understand is that in the exact same moment Lae'zel left the fight and teleported back to camp while Gale and Astarion remained in the fight.
Did this happen to anyone else?

You can avoid the fight yes. And no, I didn't have this issue. The issue I have with the fight though is the fact you can't loot the bodies and the chests after the combat ends. It gets back right into the cinematic.

Maybe after the cutscene you will, time will tell
