Detect thoughts does not work? Has anyone successfully use this in dialogue?

I tried it many times, never works. It says it detect the thoughts of "certain" creatures, but it's really vague and I don't have enough spells/scrolls to test it on everyone.

I've only had it work once, on Kagha. Seems to be barely implemented.

I rarely used it, but it's working on Gith'yanki leader. It's a regular skill check dialogue prompt.

Not found any examples of it working either tho their are a few written into the wiki guide if your curious.

Really had expected it to work on the red tiefling kid Doni who doesn't seem to be able to talk. But nope.
