Mass fight is a way to kinda raise Stakes on story but current game mechanics and combat designs feel slightly unbalanced.

Encounters could Be "smaller sized but having soldiers and armies on backgound would be better
to have multiple smaller encpunters. Currently I'm waiting minutes to Make Ai resolve their turns when as BG player (rts Gamer would want to act as soon as possible) not blamign or requesting real time just I want have faster way to get to turns.

Less HP \ soldiers would improve attack impact on strikes. D&D encounters tend to Be slightly easier than your standard larian Divinity design, Having too Gard fights take Focus away from actual story beats.Alternatively some magic wands or spell scrolls with proper spell Power would give more options to handle mass Encounters on offence fashion.

Pros & Cons of Combat
+ ways to interact with environment.
+ Storywise big impacts
+ Small enconters are interesting

Cons
- Too long to wait your turn only to miss an attack.
- Way too much HP \ creature with overwhelming numbers.
- Lack of proper def options to prevent 1 shot attack mass "targetfire your guys down randomly."
- Encounters are slightly too "hard" about 20%
- lacking proper means to tip battles to your favor.

I fought today an goblin army on a massive battle goblins about 30 combatants few allies that are mostly useless. At lv 3 goblin archers that have 20 HP goblin shock troopers that have 50 two Giant spiders HP45 and an Ogre 60 hp and 2 spell casting shamans HP 35 and one Boss character That had about 50 hpAnd 4 goblin explosives that deal just Minor AoE at 20 HP Is this Ven a fair encounters by Amy design standard?

I fought battle twise and I just barely won it once. Because of RNG

about the difficulty of the encounters:
there's a huge possibility that in the next months - if you're cleaning the entire map - when you reach the underdark you'll be lvl 5 or more. Now with few spells and low proficiency it's harder to do some pulls, but I think that, when they'll introduce new levels, we'll fell more comfortable about this.

I agree that combat takes way too long. If they make the AI smarter then they could lower the hp but currently battles are easy, really easy if you use cheese methods. I am guessing you were inside the goblin camp for this fight? If so, it sounds like you did it the complicated way, even without cheese mechanics you shouldn't have had to fight all of them at once.

Actually I fought an Goblin army at "Grove's Gate 2nd time after triggering certain cutscene conditions, by luring them into Gate and betraying the Goblin Leaders.

Yes, I think having a reserve pool for the bigger set pieces would be better. So lets say you have 12 mobs for a set piece. Instead, have 6 at the start and when one dies, one from the reserve pool then joins the fight.
