My current opinion the default "classic mode difficulty does not" represent D&D design but it could be that Larian Tactics mode difficulty. Current classic RPG difficulty is slightly balanced out of D&D damage scaling and it's game mechanics ideas.
Look, I'm not suggesting this because I'm an "angry old D&D purist fan ragequitting on difficulty, far from it." I'm suggesting this because I want to improve this game, and I really do want to give that feedback on What's in my mind to improve the game. Toning down default difficulty would make the game enjoyable for many D&D fans.
In Baldur's Gate when I open it I want to play D&D with Baldur's Gate's epic saga Story. Currently, when I open the game I get Divinity 3 that has D&D mechanics but it currently feels that game is like having a Murderous GM that has toned game difficulty to create Overpowered encounters that you have to cheese to win. I don't want that I wanted to play D&D.
And if you really want to give these Overpowered encounter designs that is barely possible to, cheese with all these puzzle mechanics, you can save that kind of design in the following suggested difficulty modes so your "Divinity fans can have the challenge they crave.
I have played both Baldur's Gate and Divinity, -series. Baldur's gate is slightly more "easier series because it's more mainstream." But if you really want to give players a challenge, give it in more. in your Challenge difficulty modes.
