I got it a few days ago and have been playing the $%*& out of it! It's games like this that remind me why PC gaming is so much better than console... and, it's games like this that remind me why I buy games at all!

I have these long periods of time where I have games that it's sort of like... I'm forcing myself to finish them, or play them at all... then one like this comes along that I can hardly put down and I'm like "ah yes... THIS is why I am a gamer"

Im glad I bought this game.
When I saw it in stores, the silly title and logo of an angel in lingerie gave an instant negative reaction. Sadly, I bet this game lost a lot of sales because of poor marketing. When I saw an online sale for $15, I read the accompanying reviews and became very interested. Its sad that I almost missed out on a good game. Thanks www.gogamer.com !

I really like the evolving story elements and the immersive feel I get exploring this world, and Im still in the healer village! The dungeons look great, if a bit too dark. I turned up the gamma brightness, but my character still can not see past this halo of darkness that follows him. That's my only complaint: Its very hard to see the game. I almost gave up playing, early on in the first dungeon, because I never noticed the levers. I would walk right by them because they were outside of the illumination of my character. Fortunately I found some help here on this website that made me take a second look.

IS is possible via skill points, or magic items, or otherwise, to increase the visibility around your character in dungeons? I bought the skill that increases sight range, but that wasn't what I was hoping for

It would be nice to find a bright lantern or even to be able to carry the torches found on the walls so I could see details easier. I appreicate the dark-dungeon-like atmosphere but there should be some methods to overcome the gloom -- especially in a magical world, where is the LIGHT spell?

In addition to the gamma setting, there is a darkness setting in the options which will brighten the area around your character a bit (I found the higher value brighter, despite a description saying the opposite, IIRC). In-game, the sight skills/bonuses just increase the range.

Ranger Sight and Elven Sight are both skills that will help you see better. Ranger Sight will help you spot enemies and Elven Sight will increase the sphere of light around your character (Yay! I beat Raze! Teehee)

I hope to devote a good chunck of the weekend to playing Divinity, you shouldn't have too much trouble beating me then.

Elven Sight is much better than Ranger Sight.

Elven Sight (Passive)
You can see further and thus target and attack your enemies from afar.

Level 1 Increase sight range by 2. Required level 1
Level 2 Increase sight range by 4. Required level 5
Level 3 Increase sight range by 8. Required level 9
Level 4 Increase sight range by 10. Required level 13
Level 5 Increase sight range by 12. Required level 17

Ranger Sight (Passive)
Grants you the keen eyesight of a ranger to help you see your enemies from afar.

Level 1 Increase sight range by 1. Required level is 6
Level 2 Increase sight range by 1. Required level is 12
Level 3 Increase sight range by 1. Required level is 18
Level 4 Increase sight range by 1. Required level is 24
Level 5 Increase sight range by 1. Required level is 30

I agree, I thoroughly enjoyed this game, but Larian studios could have done a better job on the ending! It'll leave you with "huh? that's it!?!"

My biggest complaint was that I thought Larian should have given you a free cat with the game. This could have led to shipping problems, but still. Lar, wheres my free Arhu?

Yeah, I love this game. The title made me think seriously about buying it, but I'm sure glad I did. The demo helped me make up my mind big time! The absolute worst thing about this game is the name. The second thing is how PO'd my wife is because of how much I play it

The Larians had thought of another title for .
It's CDV who released it under this name.

There are only a few games on my computer that will never be un-installed and is one of them. My first introduction to gaming was Diablo. It is the first game that I ever bought or played, and I was totally blown away by it.
I thought that ALL games would be as good as Diablo and I wasted hundreds of dollars buying up anything that looked even remotely like it, silly me!
As you can imagine, my expectations were quickly dashed and I became much more diserning. So I spent the next few years haunting gaming sites, reading review after review. But even then, I was still conned into buying some really crappy games, and I no longer trust game reviewers. I was starting to despair. I thought that I'd have to stop gaming. It seemed that every game I bought was a HUGE disappointment and waste of money.
Then came Diablo 2 and it's expansion pack, absolute Heaven! I had a new standard by which all other games would be judged. In the years since its release NOTHING has ever rivalled it, until now. is the best game I've played since Diablo:LOD and in many respects (and I never thought that I'd say this about any game) I think is better than Diablo. God Bless Larian! In an ocean of dross they've managed to create the only Gem worth buying. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou!

Don't mind me.......I'm not really here!

I had uninstalled because it is SO BIG ! It consumes a lot of my hard disk space.

Apart from that, I like it very much, too, only the fighting in the last part was a bit too boring for me.

You can use gems as lanterns. Unfortunately, it involves throwing them like you're playing hopscotch. It could be useful for scanning a dark room.

I agree. I bought other games too such as Baldur's Gate and found it too boring. Best games in my books are Ultima III, Ultima IV, Diablo, Diablo II and Divine Divinity.

agreed, this game kicks ass. its too bad i can't play alot right now. ranks with my top 5 or so. could be number 1 out of the "new-er" games. i still put chronotrigger first out of all the games in the world... Divinity is the best nowdays.

Do like me and use fade from sight, I only killed a few monsters and the bosses.
