Can you put a little star or something on the red loot symbols to show they haven't been looted just like the gold/grey ones? or just have the red ones turn grey after it's been looted.

I would have to double check, but the icon is either a closed chest or open chest if it's been looted? I thought it did have an identifier. Also if you hold alt it should say if it is empty or not. Some are bugged but most do.

True. The red containers are confusing (already searched look the same) and I spend too much time (a lot) looting every little thing possible.

Isn't red suppose to indicate that you're stealing? In which case whenever you loot that particular body, you're stealing. I believe that's why they remain red even after taking everything.

Yes. True. The request is to add the same feature we have that allows us to know when we have already searched a container (i.e. a slight indicator or color : still red for stealing nonetheless).
