So yesterday I started my first co-op and it went alright but the thing we didn't like much was the simultaneous turns. It's rather more confusing than fun and interesting. As tabletop players, we are used to have a strict initiative turn order and we would like to have it too in BG3.

Could you add an option to disable this feature entirely in the game settings? Thank you.

This. My group was COMPLETELY confused when we started playing a co-op game and were attacking the same monsters and wasting movement and effort, getting in each others way, because we were acting at the same time!! We assumed our game was bugged and were looking to see if others had the same bug. Now we find out its INTENDED?

This makes absolutely NO sense. Not only is D&D a strict turn-based system, which Larian should have implemented, but Divinity 2 was a strict turn-based game. Why in the world would you not make BG3 also turn based??

They dont even need a toggle. It should just be turned based.

The system works really well in single player and it makes somewhat sense if you think about it ("as long as members of the party are queued adjacent in the initiative queue you can make each one of them act in the order you want"), but yeah, I can see how that can cause some confusion in multiplayer.

On one hand I assume that people playing together are either in the same room or in the same voice chat and it shouldn't be too hard to coordinate with each other and decide who goes first.
On the other hand I can easily agree that the option would be nice to have in multiplayer games.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN
