So when I rescued Lae'zel in the initial town (not on the ship), I invited her to join me, but I already had a full party. She told me to 'remove your weakest warrior', but then she vanished, and I don't know where to look for her.

Sadly, clicking on quests in the Log, then clicking Show On Map, does not show them on the map... so I'm sorta stuck.
I *really* don't want to have to deal with the obnoxious druids to resolve this problem...

She is at your camp. You can reach it by either pressing M and selecting the Camp fast travel option. Or by selecting long rest (the icon with the campfire).

She is in your camp, as all companions say when you already have 4 characters in the party.
If Laezel was not freed from the cage at all, she will meet at the "Git Patrol" event, in the event that you will not save people from the burning house, but go there immediately. She will be level 1 ... very uncomfortable in a fight

Cool, thanks!! Now I remember her saying that; I've been having some trouble with tracking the passing comments that flash by on the screen in this game; they are gone so fast that I often only managed to catch a word or two...
