Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Act 2 Imp Shaman, think i may have broken my game

Im wondering if anyone can think of a way around this... I got stuck at the shaman part and after several dozen attempts decided to leave the imp shamans basement via the stairs to do the quests around the imp village to level up some(yeah i know i should have just done battlefields, but i find them, uninteresting). Anyway, after finishing all the imp village quests, when i went go to back into the shamans basement via the stairs/trapdoor, its locked and i cant get down.... Can anyone help me out bigtime with a way around this? I think if i cant get around it i dont have the will to start from scratch the game maybe prematurly over for me.

Trying to remember this part... were you still fighting him in the cellar and gave up?

Did you try going back via the secret entrance that the Imp showed you (think that is right)... you should be able to get back in his cellar that way. Sorry if this does not help, I would have to restore backups from a CD to check that and I'm not at a good stopping point in my 2nd game right now.

Do a search on the word Shaman... there are many posts about that part of the game.

Some good idea's their but i tried them already to know avail.... searching for shaman gives up alot of results but none related to this particular problem. As for going back to the secret enterance the alchemist brought me to.... as far as i can remember this was an entirely scripted sequence and the actualy entry does not exist on the game map? i cant seem to find it on the map, i could be wrong and hope i am, what do you think?

The problem with the Shaman if you were fighting him, is at some point he takes you to another location to finish the fight. If he has already gone there I think you may have to go back to a previous save. Exiting at that time might have broken the event.

The entrance to the shaman's cave is #9 on this map. It is unavailable before the alchemist develops a cure, but you should hopefully be able to get back that way.
