Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Avenge Sovereign/Protect the Myconid Circle

Ok, I have both these quests at the moment. I took Glut with me, defeated the Dwarves, talked to him, and took his Avenge quest. At some point, I went into an area with Kua Toa at which point, Glut just disappeared from my party. I guess he went back to the Colony.

I have since rescued the mushroom hunter and finished the Ruined Tower. Whenever I get back to the Myconid Colony, they invariably enter Combat with me at which point I see Glut is there and battling them. I was able to go in Stealth first to talk with Omellum and get that Ring and fast traveled out. However, I would like to complete the Mushroom Hunter quest but those NPCs are both aggroed on Glut. If I sit out and wait, they kill Glut. The Avenge the Sovereign quest ends with him dead, yet they all still aggro on me.

Is my game just screwed at this point? I had hoped to complete the Protect the Myconid Circle and just either abandon Glut's quest or come back later.

I had something similar happen where I took Glut's avenge quest. It seems that accepting this quest leads to turning all the other Myconids hostile towards you. I had hoped I'd be able to return and negotiate between the two quests, but having Glut with me led to a battle right away, not even a dialog.

I wasn't even able to get there, I killed the dwarves (and it says so in my logbook) but when I talk to Glut he tells me he wants to kill them
Oddly it gives me the option to say "I already killed them" which I say to him and he says "show me" so I take him with me and do and he doesn't care, he just keeps saying we must bring death to them.
I feel like Glut is another one of those super bugged anomolies, like the burning house.
