I basically stopped playing EA about a week in because loading a saved game takes approximately 7 minutes on my system. I have an I7-7th gen CPU, GTX 1050 Ti, 16 GB RAM, and store the game on an external SSD using a USB-C connection. Gameplay is fine at Ultra settings but I've tried lowering the settings and have tried both Vulkan and DX11 driver sets in the hopes that the time could be reduced. Searching the internet has yielded little in the way of helpful suggestions.
I've also tried a variety of adjustments to the rest of my system, eliminating extraneous programs running, running the game isolated from the internet, running the game after freshly updated drivers and a fresh restart of the system.
I'm happy to try out various fixed, if it's possible this is just an optimization issue for the game itself that's also not a big deal, just likely to keep me from playing until progress is made on that front.
