It would be REALLY nice if we knew what we passed.
Slight spoiler ahead.
Example: The mushroom shelves near the Festering Cove entrance.
It took me failing a check & jumping on an illusion shelf to figure out that the Investigation Check I had passed was seeing through the shelves that are illusions, causing them to disappear from view.
A simple, 'Oh, the shelf disappeared. It could be an illusion. I better be careful.' would make absolute sense.
I totally thought I had a bug because I kept passing a check but nothing was there & the shelf just poofed. There was no way for me to know what exactly I'd passed for.
There are other instances where a little more clarity would actually make these kinds of checks useful.
They sparkle, and turn a little transparent ... True, player can simply thinks that is one of wompy camera effects, but if you are really carefull, you will notice.
I bet that is one of reasons why they did get the first one so close to the ground.
I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are!
