Can some one explain me this? I never have playing dnd 5ed.

Inspiration is essencialy advantage. You can get one chance to roll an attack roll, skill check or saving throw with advantage per day, or more since the DM can grant you inspiration based on your actions and roleplay.

Mechanically, it could be implemented as advantage 1/day in BG3.

It's up the DM. Usually rewards for heroic acts or successful roleplaying. Giving one point for every Gale consumed item would be a nice option.

There's also bardic inspiriation points which allows you to add 1d6 to any roll.

Is there a message ingame notifying when we get inspiration points? Cause in my last playthrough, I ended up having two but I didn't know where I got them from.
