Possible Bug: I gave the Elaborate Slate to Gayle and casted Guidance on him from the Rusty Necklace. That dropped the check to a 6. He rolled a 5. I hit escape and the Elaborate Slate released a flourish of red magic light and revealed information. Not sure if this was a bug or it was supposed to reveal the information.
I had tried to divine the information earlier with my character but failed the check by two points (16: Rolled a 14) and nothing happened other than the voice stating I did not notice any additional arcane information.
