I get this error randomely when loading the game (at startup - Error copying main\startup\inv.b2 to dynamic\minventb.000 - It corrupts either the save game and or i dont know..something to do with the discs...I looked in both main and dynamic and inv.b2 wasnt there....Patching over the original version helps for a while...but the problem keeps persisting..help!

For future reference, if you get any errors copying files to the '..\Divine Divinity\Run\Dynamic' folder, the files in that folder can be safely deleted. This folder is used as a cache for the game. Files are created / copied there from the save game folder when you load, and written / copied from that folder when you save a game. The files will be re-created as required the next time you start Divinity. If there was a corrupt file in that folder, deleting the files should fix the problem. As long as the files the game is trying to copy actually exist, the problem is more likely in the dynamic folder than the saved game / startup folders.

Well this problem keeps persisting...It worked for about 3-4 hours then crashed and with the same error as last time..Raze...you probably don't have an answer to this one other than...Deleate files from Dynamic..:(...What am I to do?

Do you shut down all non-esential programs (anti-virus, etc.) before starting Divinity?

inv.b2 is a zero byte file which should be in ..\main\startup. I don't know what could have deleted it from there; try running ScanDisk on the drive. Trying to re-install could not hurt;

Thats the problem...I reinstalled this game twice now and the error still comes up...Not straight after I reinstall but about 5 hours of play or less...? This is a very wierd problem..yeah..Ill run scandisc to see if that fixes the problem.

Strange. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />
I can think of a couple things which could cause similar problems, but not that would always effect the same file. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Does that mean I have to take the game back? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

you could try that, and take a new game with you.
or you can try running it on another pc, to look if the same thing happens there, if not i think its something in your cpu settings.
