Finding an oil lamp in BG3 reminded me of the djinni merchant from NWN HoU, Volkarion. It was a cool privilege to have a bottle carrying a merchant you could summon anytime. This made me think of things I would love to see in this glorious game. Some realistic, some maybe not. Here are a few, from minor to bold. Let me know what yours would be!

Minor:
- Being able to pick up stuff like candles, mirrors, chairs and such. I like to decorate the crap out of my camp (or wherever I'm "camping").
- Not having to close all the chests I open one after the other - opening a new one should close the last one.
- Not losing my opened inventory when I read a book!

Medium:
- Having a travelling merchant ^^
- Being able to change the look of an armor with the look of another, but keeping the stats.
- Being able to change the colors of a character's armor - using dyes, etc.

Bold:
- Zevlor or Halsin as both companions and romance options (Zevlor more). We need more mature men companions (Gale is a boy, he doesn't count smile
- Karlach as romance option, and maybe another female that's just more chill.
- More - waaaaay more - party banter. Also if my character can participate in it (like in DAI).

Thoughts? laugh

I loved that djinn merchant! It was really cool when I found him.

I like all of your ideas, though I would prefer Halsin to Zevlor. The thing with the inventory closing whenever I read a book kinda drives me crazy, too.

Yeah is it just me or are ALL female characters with a more companion like air around them, kinda wierd?

Kagha - b°tch.
Minthara - b°tch. (But hey she is a Drow so, hehe, well. )
Shadowheart - sass without end.
Lae'zel - she is a Woman, but she is a Man.

Are there more with a more character like air around them? I dunno.
But those 4, from which 2 are already companions, man do they go on my nerves.
I recommend a more "trad wife" like Woman for the future.

Kinda weird, yes. I love a strong warrior woman companion (*cough* Cassandra Pentaghast forever *cough*), but these ladies are really unnatural in their behaviour. There's a limit to the sh*t you can tell someone before you lose respect for them. Shadowheart is probably the worst - a really interesting character, interesting backstory and the one with the most dialogue. Absolutely sad attitude. I can't picture someone with enough self-respect playing her games. Maybe it'll be good once the entire game is out.

Lae'zel I can understand since she's from a completely different upbringing, but the way she lacks tact seems not normal considering her "training". I might be wrong. I don't deal with her much since I rarely play evil characters.

Minthara - no thanks lol. Beautiful voice though!

Karlach - sounds promising. If she's available later I'll absolutely have a run with a male char and go for her.

Thing is, they are all strong warrior females. Cool, I like it. I wouldn't go for trad lol, but it'd be nice to have a softer, more chill lady companion. I liked Leliana and Merryl from the DA series - they show you can kick ass without a big armor and cuss words.

From the NPCs, maybe Nadira could be one, or the tiefling bard.

I mean, can't say no to Halsin. A rare elf with such... umm... posture and form ^^ But on a more serious note, he's well-spoken and mature. Well written character, dialogue-wise.

Yes, the inventory stuff is just driving me nuts. I believe in Larian though - they'll probably have that working correctly by the official release.

NWN was my first RPG (I used to play only shooters haha), I have very fond memories of it. The djinn merchant was an amazing thing - so useful!

This is why we can't have nice things.
