So I am about to make my fourth ranger (yes, I am very fun at parties :x I am just into very specific class fantasies, mmkay... ).
And I reeEEeeEEally wanna go for the "bounty hunter" trait - just from a roleplaying perspective (which obviously is fine and all) - but how, when and where do you actually use the their restraint bonus?
I mean... The only scenario I can think of when this could be even remotely useful is (early spoiler? I'll tag it anyways):
When you're trying to subdue some goblins for Wyll. But even then, it doesn't feel like it is necessary at all - because all you gotta do is basically bring down their HP to a certain point and they'll surrender. So....
Are there any examples from earlier BG games or DOS scenarios where you actually use any similar abilities? I cannot think of a single one in DOS2.
Will I ever be able to be a great edgy bounty hunter - or shall I keep being a very edgy hunter / animal handler instead?
