I've had problems with this game from the start. After one replacement game (due to corrupt I/O files), I'm still in crash hell. I even went out and bought XP cuz it was said that Windows 98 didn't run the game well. I installed the latest patch and updated my drivers, but I'm having too many crashes for my taste. Its mostly when I try to access inventory or skills menus. I want to play this game, but don't want the frustration. Any suggestions?

did you turn off anti-virus....first?
or.....
even a fresh re-install...may help

you can check this Technical Support

Something on this page may help you....

" First of all, we cannot stress enough the importance of making sure your drivers are up to date, that you have the latest service packs from Microsoft installed and that you are running the latest version of DirectX which is DirextX 9.

Secondly, make sure you have the latest patches installed. Click on the "Support" link to see a list of the available patches for the different language versions. "

Yes, I've turned off my anit-virus. I've tried all the resolutions and fog/no-fog. *sigh* I wonder if they'll give me a refund. :o)

Make sure you've installed the very latest video drivers from ati.com or nvidia.com or whereever. If it's not that, sounds like it could be a hardware problem (since you've tried both Win98 and WinXP)...do you have problems in other games?

I went to nvidia's site and downloaded the drivers needed. I guess when I installed XP, it erased some of them. I hope this works! Thanks for the tip, anyways. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
