Just want to say first...fantastic game...enjoying it!!!

...but are there any quests that have a timed feature attached to them.

No none of the quests have a time limit so you can do it on your own time as you please

The escort for the healers quest has about a 10 game-day limit, but as long as you head in the general direction of the location that will be marked on your map, you should have lots of time.

There are a couple portals which will disappear if you do not go through them within some time (one on the first level in the catacombs, one in Nericon's garden). There can be problems joining the thieves' guild if you accept either of the two quests, but do not complete them in a timely fashion.

As Drakonis says, there dont seem to be any timed quests as such. (Edit: Whoops! Except for the things Raze mentions of course - he has encyclopaedic knowledge of DD.:) ) However, there are a couple of fairly important things that do affect the timing of when you might want to complete quests.

SPOILERS BELOW
.
.
.
.
.
.
1. Once you reach the Wastelands (after the Council of 7 business) you can't go back to the earlier maps and finish quests or explore areas.

2. When you enter Stormfist Castle you lose your teleport stones, and don't get them back until later in the game.

You can still explore the rest of the main maps after you get the stones back, but for the flow of the story it's probably a little smoother to do most of your work before going to the castle. Eg. explore the Dark Forest, and Verdistis.

Not essential to to it in any order, so it's your choice, but that's just the way it seemed more comfortable to me.

Good luck, it's great game and very flexible in all the ways you can approach it.

The quest where you should burn Mpenzak's wagon is also timed. If you do not do it the guy who gave the quest will do it himself, which will lead to another quest

There is always hope

It's in the woods in the hills outside Perth. Mostly Orc and Goblin country, with occasional sightings of zombies and imps....

No, you should be able to reenter and kill the 4frogs. If you fail, please, confirm - I can add it to my list of probs, sigh.

AFAIK Nericon's garden don't close, which means you can enter it as many times you want.

Is the "Meet Zakoraf (I mean the wizard) at the Dwarven Inn" timed? That's the only failed quest on my list.

List of failed quests where you have no other choice? There are a few, but I would spoil the fun, hm?

The "Heal Simon and Verlat" Quests are also timed. They will die if you leave Aleroth before healing them.
