I am feeling seriously bored. I need to get a new apartment, I can't use my own computer yet, I am forced to use my local library computer, which means I am unable to play my PC games that I downloaded from Steam and gog.com! But recently, I come up with an interesting thread to post here in Larian's BG3 forum. A thread that lists my original characters in chronological order from the Forgotten Realms D&D games, from Icewind Dale to Icewind Dale 2, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Neverwinter Nights 2, the tabletop adventures, and even Sword Coast Legends. I planned out every detail about my characters, their birthdays, their past before the game I play them in, you know the whole deal. I don't know if the links to the images of my characters will work, I'm linking the image from my USB drive. Anyway, here we go!

IWD2 Original Character #3

BINZA MYLYL

[Linked Image]

Race: Drow
Gender: Female
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Class: Cleric

Age 108 in 1312 DR (Icewind Dale 2's time frame)
Born 2 Marpenoth, 1204 DR
Year of Private Tears
Born under the Sign of the Fish
and with Full Selûne under the sign of the Wheel

Those born under the sign of the Fish are artistic. They have lively, analytical minds and make inspiring teachers. Imaginative, they are radical and idealistic thinkers.

Those born with Selûne under the Sign of the Golden Wheel are determined, self-motivated, enthusiastic and responsible. Natural leaders, they remain calm in a crisis and are not easily swayed by opposition. Although serious minded, they are cheerful and optimistic and do not give up easily.

Backstory: Binza is a dark elf that is a few years younger than Viconia DeVir from Menzoberranzan. She is also born in the drow city Ched Nasad. Her family, House Mylyl started an experiment in the year 1233 DR that ended up going horribly wrong less than 100 years later. Over the years, Binza personally supervised the slave experiment, believing that her family had made a great breakthrough no other drow had come to the conclusion of: Why go to the surface and capture surface races like humans, surface elves and dwarves for slave labor when you can create your own slaves? The wizards of House Mylyl's goal was to create a race that they could control. That race is known as "chitines". In 1305 DR, the chitines rebelled from their creators, slaughtering all the drow wizards save for Binza who escaped with her life, and the chitines founded their own village not too far away from Ched Nasad. Ashamed and disillusioned, Binza departed the Underdark and decided to go to the surface world, realizing that life captured or created will ALWAYS fight for freedom whether they have been born into slavery or not. She also learned that the chaotically evil beliefs of Lolth has blinded and entrapped all drow, preventing them from learning from their mistakes and arrogant beliefs, which encouraged Binza to adopt a Lawful Neutral outlook on life, understanding that following laws are of the utmost importance. Eventually, one day, she met Calvin Vaner who took her in, taught her to be a Cleric of Ilmater and gave her a home she can be safe in, and she has been living with him from 1305 DR to the day they decided to go to Luskan as hired mercenaries and met Oliver and Illivia Goldmarsh. Though she is grateful to Calvin for not judging her by her race, she only sees him as a friend, nothing more or less. Her long term goal is to gather all exiled drow and find the right drow man to fall in love with and have children with to create a new drow society that adheres to law and order, logic and reason, not the chaotic ways of the Spider Queen's drow societies. The reason why she ignores the possibility of having a romantic relationship with Calvin is because she believes that having half-drow children with him will not help her reach her goal of creating a lawful drow society. But if he were drow, she wouldn't ignore him, much to his dismay.

IWD2 Original Character #4

CALVIN VANER

[Linked Image]

Race: Human
Gender: Male
Alignment: Neutral Good
Class: Cleric

Age 27 in 1312 DR (Icewind Dale 2)
Born 22 Uktar, 1284 DR
Year of Dying Stars
Born under the Sign of the Butterfly
and with Crescent Selûne under the sign of the Trident

Those born under the sign of the Butterfly are restless, sociable and good natured. Cheerful, expansive and magnetic, they win friends easily and dislike offending others. Although often indecisive, they are not weak willed and tackle difficult tasks with infectious optimism.

Those born with Selûne under the sign of the Trident are quick witted, spontaneous and gregarious. They have a lively curiosity and are intelligent, persuasive speakers, enthusiastic, inquisitve and communicative. They love discussing new ideas and projects.

Backstory: Calvin's father was one of the paladins of The Company of Twelve, and his mother is an average woman who lives an average life in Waterdeep. His father was also one of the paladins who died in 1285 DR fighting the lich known as Sammaster. Although Sammaster's body was destroyed, nine of the twelve paladins, including Calvin's father, died in the battle, leaving his wife who was at the time pregnant with Calvin alone to raise him. Although Calvin grew up never knowing his father, he always felt this phantom pain, the distant grief of having no clear memory of the man who helped bring him into the world, only learning about him from the stories his mother used to tell him about her childhood growing up with his father, their teenage years and adulthood years into marriage, and how he always dreamed of becoming a paladin like his father before him, and his grandfather. When he was a child, Calvin used to cry in his sleep having dreams about his father, but his mother would always tell him not to surrender to his emotional pain, use it to uplift himself and others. Taking his mother's advice, Calvin grew up to become a painbearer Cleric of Ilmater to look for ways to cope with his grief and move on with his life in meaningful ways, and encourage others improve themselves regardless of the grief or emotional pain they feel.

On the day he met Binza Mylyl in the year 1305 DR, he offered her shelter instead of deciding on turning her away or killing her because he had a feeling that he met a kindred spirit in Binza, someone who is tormented by their emotional pain, and so over the next seven years, he taught her to be a painbearer cleric of Ilmater like himself, and taught her how to speak Common. However, over the years, he started to develop romantic feelings for Binza not just because he finds her attractive, but because he has a strong feeling that he is destined to help her find meaning in her life, and even though he made it clear to Binza a few times that he likes her as more than a friend, she politely turned down his flirtations, claiming that romance with a human is the furthest thing from her mind, not because she hates humans, but because she believes that romance with a human will not serve her purpose of creating a lawful drow society. Calvin wants Binza to understand how to listen to her feelings, to not let her cold logic set boundaries and limitations on what she can do and can't do, that it isn't necessary for her to be with a drow man to start a city of drow independent from Lolth's rule.

Those born under the Sign of the Golden Wheel are determined, self-motivated, enthusiastic and responsible. Natural leaders, they remain calm in a crisis and are not easily swayed by opposition. Although serious minded, they are cheerful and optimistic and do not give up easily.

Those born with Crescent Selûne under the sign of the Dragon are idealistic, progressive thinkers with strong humanitarian and spiritual principles. They thrive on change, becoming impatient with convention or restriction. Artistic and original, they can appear detached and aloof.

Romance choice: Viconia DeVir

Sexuality: Heterosexual, but he is not xenophobic, and though he does not think much of it, he is open to the idea of having a romantic relationship with an elf, half-elf, tiefling, half-orc or even a drow woman, as long as they have curves in the right places

Likes: Shadowdark Ale, prime rib, funny stories and jokes, Viconia DeVir, Neera, Imoen, Dynaheir, Aerie, Khalid, Rasaad, Glint, M'Khiin, Yoshimo, Minsc, hearing stories about Drizzt Do'Urden, helping people in need, seeing lands he never explored before

Hates: Worgs, innocent people being abused or tortured or murdered or forced to work under extreme conditions, irredeemable evil aligned people, Xzar, Baeloth Barrityl, Edwin Odesseiron, Bodhi, Jon Irenicus, Yaga-Shura, Abazigal, Amelyssan

Backstory: As a child, Ralis was quite a hellion, making Gorion's job of raising him not easy at all. However, when he was tamed by Gorion's lessons, Ralis became a mild mannered person who dreamed of a life of fun and adventure throughout the Realms, inspired by the tales of Faerun's many heroes, however, there were times when he skipped lessons that he found boring. A thoughtful, caring, brave and very charming person, Ralis can earn the trust of almost anyone, but he does NOT forgive betrayal unless it is proven that the betrayer has no ill will against him. He also does not forgive those of evil alignment who torture or murder innocent individuals-- if he sees or hears about an evil individual who has slain or tortured someone for sport or some other malicious reason, he usually will not hesitate to strike down that evil person with extreme prejudice. As a lawful good aligned human, based on Gorion's teachings, he used to believe that the law is flawless and defend those who can't defend themselves, but as a chaotic good aligned human, he sees that the law has flaws that those of evil alignment can exploit and manipulate to further their goals, and that those with a rebellious but good heart are necessary to defend the innocent because of the law's weaknesses. He also strongly believes in redemption, especially in the most evil of races, like the drow because of the stories about Drizzt Do'Urden, his inspiration and idol. He also proves to be good, charismatic leader, convincing people of different alignments or personalities to cooperate with one another.... sometimes. He does not believe in destiny either, and he doesn't like the idea of someone controlling his life. If he wants to refuse to ascend to goodhood, he wants it. If he wants to have a romantic relationship with Viconia, he will, ignoring what other people may think.

So in turn, Jeffrey is proficient at using katanas. Jeffrey learned how to cast spells from his teacher, a dwarven wizard known as Drogan Droganson, who has been teaching not only Jeffrey, who is Drogan's senior student, how to be an effective adventurer, but also three other individuals who Jeffrey is close friends with, Dorna Trapspringer, Mischa Waymeet and Xanos Messarmos. Jeffrey hates wearing wizard robes because they offer no bodily protection unless a wizard knows Mage Armor, a spell he doesn't like to rely on often. He prefers to wear protective but flexible body armor that doesn't restrict his arm movements, which would increase the likelihood of him not failing to cast a spell. Jeffrey can also summon a familiar, a female faerie dragon named Fyrax, who he considers not only his pet, but also one of his friends.

Those born under the sign of the Star are courageous, energetic, impetuous and determined to make their own way in the world. Self-reliant and adventurous, they love taking risks and are tenacious workers. Affectionate and charming, they inspire great loyalty in others.

Those born with Selûne under the sign of the Serpent have good memories and are articulate, strong willed and resourceful, emotional and enigmatic. They have quick responses and are prone to sudden mood changes.

Backstory: Zirah is a 27 year old renegade pureblood yuan-ti adventurer who not only is fluent in Common, but also Draconic and Abyssal language, like all yuan-ti. Her mother is a priestess of Sseth, the major yuan-ti deity all, if not most yuan-ti worship. Zirah's mother planned on having Zirah become the next priestess, but unforunately, Zirah had a rebellious and curious spirit, even when she was a child. Unlike most yuan-ti, she wanted to become an adventurer and learn about the world and its inhabitants, not destroy it. Zirah's motto is: "Why should we destroy the world when there is so much to learn from it?". Her mother didn't approve of this behavior and spent most of her time teaching Zirah the evil ways of her kin. She learned those lessons well, knowing that all yuan-ti must act in accordance with the Sacred Way of Sseth, and through those lessons, she became a hardened, ruthless fighter, and she turned out to be more confrontational than manipulative unlike most yuan-ti due to her short tempered nature, which made her unsuitable to be a priestess of Sseth, but somehow and secretly from her mother, she never lost her childhood desire to learn about the world instead of destroying it like what all if not most yuan-ti strive to do.

When she became old enough to go out adventuring, she took this as an opportunity to see why the yuan-ti desire to destroy or dominate the world and its inhabitants so much. Fortunately, as a pureblood yuan-ti she was able to easily blend in to cities without being noticed as a yuan-ti, even though her skin skin is of an unusual color and her eyes as well, but men find her too attractive to take notice of her minor serpent-like features, and women usually think that she is using some special makeup. She eventually realized that everything her kin desires to do is selfish, and that there are factions and other races like the yuan-ti who have similar goals, like the drow. She learned that while the inhabitants of Toril have flaws of their own, they don't deserve to be destroyed, they can be better. Developing a strong sense of justice after learning how misguided she almost was in her training to become a priestess, she decided to become a warrior of Helm to protect humans, elves, and other races from hostile races like the drow and her own race. She also made a few companions during her adventures, a human warlock, a halfling rogue, and a half-drow cleric.
