They adjusted stuff right? Cause... suddenly I am hitting enemies. And... it just... feels better? I don't know? =)

It did seem like I was hitting really often with sacred flame. Not sure if it has changed or if the dice god accepted my blood sacrifice.

It definitely feels better to me too.

Some things are better and some aren't.

I'm happy that I am using my prepared spells much more often and that it's a chore to move a barrel. I've done everything above ground and think I cast firebolt 3 times . . . That's fantastic, glad they listened to community on cantrips.

With Shadowheart's new stats I'm able to use her as a caster cleric and that's great. Again, well done.

But both in interactions and combat I feel like I'm playing the game on easy mode. Always hitting and always persuading. Why build at all if the dice are loaded? That's what cheats are for.

If this is indeed "sneaky loaded dice", they're probably just testing the waters to see the reactions.

I'm personally not a fan of loaded dice, it feels like cheating, like you say. I'd rather have lower DC if anything, as far as I understand it's usually quite high for D&D standards. Though for me the best system would be just flat checks. Sometimes "attempt and fail/succeed", sometimes "additional dialogue option for Int>X" (not necessarily a new one, something that was previously check-guarded). Whatever makes sense in the context.

Loaded dice are cool with me. I kinda hate dice rolls period, for reasons discussed in other threads.

With this I agree, I have an intense dislike of RNG elements in games in general. Exceptions are few and far between. I'm somewhat tolerant of dice in D&D games because it's D&D, but... yeah, like I said above, I'd rather have flat checks, like in BG/P:T.

I'm totally okay with loaded dice as an option. But I want it as an option. As I've said in other threads that moment playing pen and paper when you are really hoping for that 20 to come up is part of what I like about DnD.

I can't tell if I'm having an amazing run of good luck or not but so far I've only missed three rolls and I've cruising without challenge.
