Candles and torches are abound which is great for lighting up a dark room, but we shouldn't have to light up every room we enter. It would be nice if more of the lighting objects in the game were automatically lit so that exploring as a character without darkvision is less tedious in places that have available lighting. You shouldn't need to cast darkvision because 5 human enemies are standing in complete darkness just hanging out in a room full of unlit candles and torches. It would be nice if the available lighting had further range as well as lighting up candles should make the whole room brighter the more candles you light. Casting darkvision and using torches are still there for navigating caves and other naturally dark areas, but I feel like the darkness is being leaned into a bit too much in order to encourage their use.

Edit: I would like to add that the Darkvision spell and the Eldritch Invocation Devil's Sight doesn't even function properly to increase your vision, it just removes the disadvantage you get from low light. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
