I find it very difficult to see in the dark with characters that don't have darvision. While I know this is intended for obscurity purposes. My concern is this. When lighting torches and candelabras etc around an area, it does not really increase actual visibility. It definitely affects obscurity for stealth but it doesnt affect actual visiblity enough. I feel like if I go around and light all the torches in a room that I should actually just be able to see.

I don't know how feasible it is, but I'd love BG3 to have a more "realistic" lighting system. As in the game recognizing light levels from what the light source actually shines on (an how brightly) rather than "visual" and "mechanical" light systems being separate. (Ok, I think I described it very awkwardly. But I remember Swen saying that there's some light patch added by artists that the game doesn't see as light, and I remember similar reports by players. So apparently there are two light systems.)
