If you go to camp through fast travel and switch characters in your party, when you return from camp, all characters in the party will have received the benefits of a full rest, including spell slots and short rest counters resetting. Simply going to camp and returning does not cause the effect to happen - so far I've only been able to duplicate it by changing characters in camp.

Yes, I noticed this too today. Also, if you change characters in camp, using the leave camp option will not teleport everyone to the same place. I think the new character(s) you pick up in camp are teleported to the last position they were in when you teleported to camp the last time they were in the party. At least that's what seems to be happening to me. Asked Lae'zel to join and Leave camp resulted in Lae'zel appearing outside the grove while the rest of us went back to the blighted village.

i came here to post exactly this. if you want to change party members you must do it during a long rest it seems... Astarion was last at the goblin camp, in their courtyard when i switched him out. well... now if i add him to the party, he spawns by himself right next to the huge door gurard... i know there is a "bug report" feature on the larian web site but i can't find it... this one is realllllly annoying.
