I recently learned that there was a 1600 gold ruby available for the taking on a cliff edge just below where Astarion was originally found and rushed back to claim that item. I jumped down and yep, there it was and now tucked away into my inventory.

Then I moved to leap back up to continue my adventures. And .....oops! The cursor will only move into the nether regions underneath the map, not back up to the leverl from whence I started and now three days later, I'm still sitting down by the waters wondering when my journey can continue?

I prefer not to procede until Larian can fix this mess of a situation, but who knows if they are even aware of this difficulty as of yet???

The part of the druid grove leading to the fishing bear is absolutely terrible with clipping since the latest full patch. The characters sink into the landscape, walking stops every couple of steps, and some actions like crouching are impossible.

I have 'rescued' the ruby in the latest patch but didn't get the problem you got.
