(Not sure if this is the best place for this but here goes.)

As much as I love seeing the newly added Romance scene with Astarion on patch 3... It looks a bit off between him and male PC (half-elf) due to the height difference. Cutscene was clearly made for the ladies in mind, fits pretty nicely for the female PCs that I've seen, I just hope they plan on making a variant that works better with male PCs, something that looks like it fits and makes more sense.

And I don't mean to complain, I understand nature of EA, just would like the devs to know that there are actually male Astarion admirers who would love to have this addressed, and have the kissing actually lock at some point.


Edit: It dawned on me to grab the available modding tools and take a peek at the animations. It looks like height has been considered, just needs to be implemented or linked into the game correctly? Anyway, I feel bad for doubting, my bad. Keep up the amazing work, devs ^^; (I wonder if this counts as something that should be reported tho? )

It's worth submitting bug and/or feedback reports for wonky animations, yes; if there's something that just doesn't work, make a report. Larian are indeed fixing animations across the board, bit by bit, and there's along way to go, but we can never be sure if they've missed something, or if it's just in the queue - better to report and be told it's on their list, and to not, and let it potentially go missed.

It's odd, because I always felt that Astarion, in all of his dialogue and discussion, was coded as male-leaning in his general characterisation (all characters are player-sexual, but some have distinct leanings in one direction or another, as they are written).

And yeah I've gotten that impression on the leanings myself. But I also get the feeling that the fact that a lot of the vocal Astarion fans, gathered from what I've seen on YT at least, are largely women which might factor into the priorities a touch. (Last I looked there were at least 6 or so videos showing the new scenes with their female characters and mine was the only male version heh)
