I was trying to figure out if anything in-game could have caused this, but I'm pretty sure it's a bug.

I was running around the "forest" areas outside of the Imp village in Act 2. I suddenly realized that I hadn't been attacked by anything in a while. The baddies were still there (dang tibars, ARGH), but every negative creature would run toward my characters, then stop a few "feet" away and act as if they'd just run into an invisible wall: legs moving, but no motion. I had my DK walk up and just smack 'em with his saber, and they never defended themselves.

This lasted through about a dozen saves and two game restarts. (Unfortunately, the monsters went back to normal when I loaded a savegame where I had been standing next to three previously harmless fire elementals. This time, they were active. Oops.) Since it's not doing it anymore, it's not vital, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing?

(Oh, and yes, I am running 1.44.)

A couple people ran into that problem, but it was suppose to be fixed in the 1.43 patch. Maybe you had a corrupt file in the dynamics folder that got carried over for awhile? Do you still have a save with this problem you can email to Larian?

I just ran into this problem again in my second game. I did make a save at that point so I would have it if needed.

I wouldn't have a save anymore -- I almost never actually save with a proper filename and all, I just quicksave, and I do that OFTEN (I learned my lesson having to fight my way through nearly the whole Dark Forest twice in DivDiv), so by now the rotation's saved over it. I should learn to save the ones with problems, so there's something to show.

The strange thing (about a currupt file) was that it came on very suddenly, and left just as suddenly. Straaaaaange.

Normally when you patched and load a game and you're experiencing something strange, it would be good to load that game, save it (so it becomes a savegame of that version) and then load it again. Everything should be ok then.
