On my thread complaining about spells ( https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=742448&page=1 ) a lot of people said that tier 3+ spells aren't available on the game and that everything is up to change, we can't know that animate dead will have a summon limit or other awful thing.

The problem is. How Larian can gather feedback about spells if we can't cast the most iconic D&D spells like fireball, black tentacles, cloudkill, chain lightning, disintegrate and other iconic spells in the first place? On BG1, you can cast stone to flesh as scroll. Why not give a few scrolls at least of this spells? IMO Larian seems to have casters with passion. More than Sawyer(who ruined casting on nwn2 till the development of spell fixes mod) They din't even considered the impact on spells like sleep, when they decided to inflate enemy HP.

As for colossal battles, ARPG's like Dragon's Dogma tends to have amazing dragon battles, amazing hydra battles, amazing cyclops battles, fighting colossal creatures in DD is so amazing and I really wanna experience it in a modern CRPG.

Perhaps later.
Imo, Larian seems to have doubt about the combat gameplay / fun with lvl 1-4 characters. I am quite sure they are more confident in the global game balance at lvl 5-10.
For those not familiar with Lvl 5 in DnD 5e, let's just say this is a big step in the character evolution. For now we probably test what they are most interested in.

I personally, HATE the concept of "tiers" on 5e, one of the awfulest aspects copyed by 4e and the "power spikes" on lv 5/11/17.

I prefer the 2e approach where lv 1 = beginner and lv 20 = peak of humankind. Above 20 is superhuman. The dealms of dread suplement for 2e uses "accomplished necromancer" to refer to Strahd, as a lv 16 specialist mage(necromancer), Meredoth is a lv 20 necromancer in the same sourcebook and is also considered "accomplished". The power growth was more "linear" and coherent IMO.

I wouldn't be suprised if they add lv5 later on into the EA.
Patience is key though. There are still important spells missing from the Lvl1 and Lvl 2 spells. Adding those, as well as preparing the rest of classes and subclasses are probably Larian's 1st priority, as far as class mechanics goes.
