In my hunt for explanations over things that I've been experiencing in Baldur's Gate 3 on Stadia since Patch #3 dropped, I just happened upon this article from October 6, 2020 which in a nutshell is what I have been dealing with:

The reviewer covers the basics over what I've been seeing since the patch in character creation, but I did not have any of this going on prior to the third patch dropping? Character creation worked like a charm and yes, I do use a Stadia controller. Whatever glitched for me since patch 3 arrived sounds exactly like what this writer described back in October.

I hope that some dev reads this and manages to route this to someone, at the moment recreating characters that I lost on Stadia due to the save erasures is not possible, since I can't select many of the attributes that I prefer for any characters. I am being forced to live with some things as a default setting, hair style, hair and eye color, etc.

Also play with controller much prefer the movement with controller. Some issues hoping they fix:
The character creation is impossible. Press once right moves 2-4 spaces. Can't select hair colors and other options because selections don't move with the scrolling select screen. This multiple pressing problem continues while on ship trying to select skills/spells or in inventory.
Since patch #3 bars 2 and 3 are not showing when I try to select them after pressing Y. The tooltip shows proper spell but the bar still shows first bar spells or nothing.
Cannot combine anything nor can I put anything into chests/storage.
The B button will hold and end turn even if just tapped. Super frustrating if you change mind about skill and decide to move more first. Since no move icon have to press b to cancel and it ends your turn instead. ( really only a problem when controlling only one character otherwise just select another character and go back to original one).

Yep! Been there, done all of that.

Trying to report this is proving futile as well. I sat through a longwinded Google services chat window for Stadia issues that went nowhere, all they ultimately did was provide me a link to Larian's own customer support page and I will be honest with you ...... I don't think that their interface was working either? It did open an email message for me to regurgitate all of this all back into written form and I did hit the send button.

But who knows, maybe The Shadow?
