It doesn't matter how many times I talk with Zarys, even after she tells me Brem will show me the more 'exotic' goods, his wares list doesn't change from the initial basic poison and lockpicks. He keeps repeating he can't show me the good stuff until Zarys says so.
Also, when I first enter the Zhentarim hideout, after the initial dexterity check I don't get the option of giving Rugen's password the guy at the door, even though I learned it earlier in the game and it's been recorded in my log.
There's also a minor glitch with the passage behind the wardrobe. When I click on the entrance the first time, it always takes me back to the room I'm supposed to have left, as if I just exited the hideout instead of going in. It works fine on subsequent attempts.
Also, the last log entry for the Zhentarim hideout quest doesn't match the events in the game. I took the route where I bullied Rugen and Olly into surrendering the shipment to me and later I find Zarys torturing them for failure, but then I manage to talk my way into her good graces and she gives me the quest to deliver the shipment to her client in Baldur's Gate. I also execute Rugen at her order. But the log entry I got reads "Pleased, Zarys rewared us for defending her agents. We kept quiet about the shipment".
Some of these I can help you with, though they are all bugs.
During the initial convo with rugan after the gnoll encounter, just get the password and then exit the convo. Dont ask about the chest, what's in it, splitting the cargo, none of that. If you do this then you will be able to complete the convo with zarys later on to get the vendor to show you the good stuff.
As far as the password itself, yea it's bugged. But you can still make it to the hideout. You might have to save scum a little. You have to pass two ability checks. Use Guidance on yourself to have a better shot at passing the checks. Save right out side the house and just reload if you fail one of the checks. Eventually you'll pass them both. Guidance does really help here.
The bug with actually trying to go down to the zhent hideout and it just keeps returning you to the basement, you just gotta keep hitting it. And eventually you'll get down there. Luckily there's a waypoint right there so you only need to get through once.
