Hi!

I bought with my friends BG3 to play in multiplayer game. They all have Microsoft Windows (I think they have Win 10) and I run BG3 on Mac (Big Sur OSX). So when we try to play in multiplayer mode, they create a lobby and they pass me the ID to play with them and then I can't join the game. It says to me:

ERROR

"Joining failed: Players have different game versions. Please ensure you're up-to-date."

Someone else has the same problem? It's no possible to play between differents platforms in multiplayer game?

It's something they want to implement but haven't yet.

I had the same issue. Fortunately, I had already created a Windows partition on my Mac, a couple of months earlier (btw, you can install Windows 10 without buying a key, you don't get the fully customisable version, but you can run games). I also had to uninstall some games to make space. But then, finally, I was able to try multiplayer.

Long story short : well, you can play with your friends. But get ready to spend a day or two setting up you computer for it.

I, too, would like to play via multiplayer between Windows and OSX.
