After being at the very tip top of the entrance to the temple, by where the crane rises up to hold the brick - if I tell a character to go to the actual door they decide to jump off onto the hard stones below - like 30-40 feet - instead of snaking their way down the way they came up. This isn't turn-based mode either, but free mode. Characters need a little common sense in movement.

I've also noticed that NPCs in battles will often do things such as use up their extra action when they're far away and they don't use it to dash - they just use it, move the standard distance, then throw away two actions instead of one. Characters who are far back and up on platforms are using up their mage armor and similar defensive buffs while I'm being swarmed by melee threats when exiting the other, later temple (
the desecrated temple of Selune that the goblins are infesting
). While the difficulty seems a bit high in this game, I'd rather the difficulty be hit down a notch and have AI that can plan and assess the battlefield before it acts rather than the excessively hard encounters with bad AI.

Agreed, AI pathing and AI combat mechanics need a tweaking.
That said, given I primarily solo lone character this game, like 600+ hours worth of solo 'lonewolf' one created character play, I find it somewhat befuddling, if not amusing, that some would insist on saying that the difficulty of this game is a bit high, no offense. It's just EA Act 1 and if its difficulty seems a bit high, boy oh boy, wait for Act 2 and Act 3, I am sure the wailing and gnashing of teeth on difficulty are going to be righteous.
