Just wondering if Larian could explain how Unique and Set items work, since most don't appear to have special properties. Is it something subtle or do they need 'fixing' in a patch.

I had a lot of parts of the Fire set, and when I put them on, there were no bonuses or anything. But then again, maybe you get the bonuses when you find the entire set. Not too sure. Would be nice to have bonuses like in Diablo or something, and maybe make them random drops instead of being in the same places all the time.

I just wish you could sell them. I have something like three pairs of gloves, all parts of sets, in which I have no interest because the ones I'm wearing are better... but I can't make myself leave things with fancy names behind. Argh.

You can sell them, Etoile - as soon as you change the act.

Yeah, I noticed that when I got into act II, but the acts are pretty long and that's a lot of junk.

I have noticed that there are unique items in the game marked with green letters. I don´t know if they are part of a set but they have some special bonuses which become instantly yours after you wear them. There are also some items marked with orange letters and I think that those are parts of sets. The effect that the whole sets has on your char. I really do not know it since I am not that far in the game and I have not completed a whole set yet. But One thing I like very much is that when you change the items you wear the difference is obvious in your char. And unique items (green) have many many bonuses.

Not really orange color just indicates that they are very valuable and thus also very powerful (meaning they have good extra stats bonuses such as strenght, resistance or a % increase to you speed and others). But they are not set artifacts. And non of the sets I have seen seems to be very good or add any bonuses when you join them sadly.

Some of the Items I had included

Something of Fire.
Marksman Gloves
Souldrinker Scimitar

They didn't appear to do anything, and upon changing act they changed to something else anyway.

On the other hand I've had items in Green such as Jarnics Magic Wotsit and they have lots of bonuses and don't change upon a new act.

King of Fire - chain armour - Fire set => changes to bone armour
Princess of Fire - chain gloves - fire set => changes to chain gloves
Marksmans stuff - Ranger set (=> bone gloves)
Cutlass Souldrinker - unique item => changes to cutlass
Morpheus ring - unique item IIRC => changes
Zandalor's Inferno - wizard set => name remains, set is taken out, is green now
Zandalor's skin - wizard set => bone armour, still looks like a robe
Headcrusher/unique => name remains, unique taken out

Jarnic on the other hand (staff, robe etc.) are just green items, not unique/set. They remain as they are.

But, only the names change, not their values. I'm currently wearing King of Fire, still looks the same, not like a bone one.
