Almost done with act 2 and I'm having some "issues" with some things.

- The meteorite, dose it do any thing else then poison me?

- The strange gems, I know they spawn/hatch into fire elementals, but do they have any other purpose then to increase my exp capital?

- Cave of the master, ok I talked to the litches and found the statues, but I can't figure out how to open the door to the south (I'm guessing the statues open it but I don't see how), also if I kill the litches will it have a profound effect on the quest?

- The box, I already know how to do it, but I was wondering if it has any drastic effects later on (ie, the store keeper coming after me for "taking" his box), and if the box is opened, do the effects last forever?

- Strange candles, do they do any thing special?

- In the spider forest there is a cocoon with a sword in it, to the NE, it's trapped with spider mines and frags my char every time, what level of trap disarm do I need?

The meteor is part of the background plot, but aside from a couple medium crystals there you don't do anything with it.

There is no other purpose to the strange gems.

In the south east of the lich cave, there is one fixed statue in the centre of a pentagram, with 4 other pentagrams on the floor....

Killing the 3 liches which are not the master have a profound effect on the loot you can get, but that is it (can also use Pickpocket for this).

Opening the box is a permanent effect, and results in a couple comments by various NPCs, but that's it.

If you had run past the fire elementals and blew out the 4 strange candles, a fire elemental would have died for each (though you do not get experience that way).

Leave one character at the hermit's cave (etc) and stand by the trapped cocoon with the other. Pause the game and open the cocoon, then switch to the other character and enter the hermit's cave to teleport the other character away from the trap.

There is no way to disarm trapped containers, Ark. Either do what Raze suggested - or get your fire res. very high or your HP (at fire res. 21 and low survival I found out, this trap takes 433 HP)

The best is this => save before you open a wine chest. These darn things tend to be trapped in a hideous way, same goes for the Shaman chest in his house.

You can only disarm traps you see on the ground => in Act 2 I took this skill at lvl 3 (detect at lvl 3, too) - a cheaper way is to let your summ. dolls run through in single mode. Yes, they die, but you don't need skill pts.

Yup trapped containers are not cool.
- There is no way to know it is trapped
- There is no way to disarm it

- the way to survive : Teleport

Press pause just after opening, then do the following :
* having the other hero enter (or exit depend where you are) a cave or something.
* teleport to BF
* teleport with pyramid

Anyway this is stupid to force you to die ( some are instant ), then reload, then use the trick ... you should at least be able to detect the trap, or have dolls that can open chests

Dolls => was allowed in early versions - then disabled.
