When I played DAO, I really like that there are some acknowledgement in the dialogues that they're dating or in a relationship. I don't think it's a lot of resources to have some repeatable dialogue of the characters acknowledging us? It's just some small flavor like random kiss thing in DAO or just lie together when you click on the camp bed for overnight? It's not essentially of course, it's just some suggestions for some small acknowledgement somehow, just putting it out there since it gives me a bit of roleplaying ability during certain parts instead of running out of things to say and only can talk to them at the end of each Act or something during their story.

I too very much hope that the romance dialogues are not going to be always NPC-initiated, but that the PC can initiate sweet talk with their romance interest.

Say, I want to check that my partner is ok, give a quick kiss, or offer a little thingy I found. Whatever.

I am pretty sure that this will be added as the game will develop further. Divinity 2 Original Sin had a few interactions like that, for companions, so I can't see this not being added, judging by how much more the companion reactions are developed here.

Adding my two cents that I also support this. Being able to kiss your partner at any time like in DAO and DAI would be brilliant!

I feel like they already have a lot of character animation but kissing makes it more romantic, even more than sex scene for me. It's just more about the passion instead of lust, but really, I'd settle for some recycled dialogue like with Shadowheart but with more romance lines added.
