So, I'm currently sitting at just under 200 hours played as of the time of this post. What I truly LOVE is the fact in almost every play through, I find something new. Weather it's dialogue or an item, a new secret location, etc. However, like with any game, once you've experienced almost all to all of the current content, you find new ways to entertain yourself. So I decided to do some fun Early Access Video Series. I have a couple of ideas, and this is the first one.
Monster Battle Series. I've recently finished all the fights that I felt were worth doing. I have a fight series featuring the Spectator and the Ogre Trio fighting almost all the potential fights you, as a player would encounter and see how they do. It's a best of 3 series.
What I learned from doing this was actually quite insightful. I found a quite a few bugs in combat. Got a very good idea of how the AI likes to fight (from what we have available of course). And it gave me some feedback to provide to Larion on combat.
As of writing this, I am still in the process of editing (very poor editing...) of the videos for the series. But have 3 of the Spectator's fights uploaded.
My comments about the Spectator is that, when he fights, in what most would assume it SHOULD fight, he's a true destroyer. But other times, he REALLY likes to waste a lot of turns. You'll see some examples of what I'm talking about throughout the series as I upload more. Also, depending on the terrain, there are several areas where he bugs out and just starts screaming at monsters, instead of taking an actual turn. There are just some spots the Spectator's AI DOES NOT like!
And a final note. There are a handful of fights that were just not worth doing. One example is having the spectator fight the goblin camp. To my surprise, the Spectator did manage to go 1-2 vs 20 goblins. However, each fight took almost 50+ minutes. And the camera angles were atrocious. But some fights being too long or too one sided, just weren't worth doing.
