So I may need some help from other players to really confirm this one because I havent 100% been able to rule out something wrong on my end, but heres the long and short of it.
I got it into my head that I wanted to kill all the flaming fist in the courtyard of the town Waukeens Rest because I wanted to be able to loot all the flaming fist corpses on the ground(greedy ehh?) just to see what they had. But of course the living guards are protecting them and wont let you loot them,so they had to die.
The problem is that every time I land the killing blow on this one dude, (Tristan I think his name is) the game freezes and crashes. This happens 100% of the time, every time, and always the same way. This seems too specific a situation to happen every time, the same way, to blame it on my computer.
But I did erase the save, delete the game and re-installed it fresh and started a new game. The game ran flawlessly up to that point where I tried the encounter again, and the same thing happened, crashed on the killing blow that would have killed Tristan.
This would seem to possibly demonstrate that something about Tristan dying is causing the game to freeze/crash.
However, in the name of the scientific method, I would like to see if I can get any of you guys who might be interested,to see if you can replicate this in one of your games as well.
There doesnt seem to be any preconditions, that I can find. Just go to Waukeens rest and attack the flaming fist there. See if you can kill them all without crashing the game, and if it does crash, take notice if it does while killing the particular enemy Tristan, or even just attacking him(though for me it was always the killing blow.)
If anyone either confirms this, or is able to get through the encounter without crashing the game, please post back here and let us know.
Thanks.
