As I am not going to play this until we get some meaningful updates, in the case that we dont get the updates needed (Spells, Combat, Class/Race Abilities) please please please open this up to Modders completely so we can pull a total rework of these area's to bring them into line with 5e.

Why in the world would Larian open the game up 100% to modders, while it is still in early access - and in fact the early part of early access .

The point of early access is to give them the opportunity to test features and mechanics as they work toward a final product - not to provide "meaningful updates" upon demand, nor to have modders test out THEIR features and mechanics toward said modder's "final product".

It's like Ford showing off a prototype car at a convention, and folks screaming for them to hand out the full design specs so after-market upgrades can be designed for said prototype.

Well ... since you asked there is one reason.
Number of downloaded addons can quite easily help you understand what people do want and you can aim your focus there.

For example if there will be 7,5millions downloads of "6 member party addon" within first week ... its quite clear that people were not satisfied so much with your 4 member choice.

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

That's not a fair comparison, however- and modded games can provide insights standard games do not. Heck, they'd even get a special flag for the purpose of feedback.

Oh I'm not talking about now. I think this design by analytics is terrible.

No I mean when released. I hope that as much as is technically possible is available for modders to change because I have real concern about some of the major issues being addressed by the devs.
