Since BG3 is supposed to cap at level 10 and moonblades are legendary weapons, they shouldn’t be available. They are in the realm of vorpal weapons and holy avengers.
If BG3 gets an expansion that raises the cap to 20 or so, then sure why not?
But then again, Larian seems to love flashy things so perhaps we will see moonblades in this campaign. I wouldn’t be surprised at all at this point.

the Level 10 Cap is long overruled
The cap isn't set but I highly doubt it will reach 20 or even 15. It would leave very little room for an expansion.
Level 11 or 12 is possible since 11 is the next big power bump for all classes. But even at level 11 or 12, moonblades are typically not found.
BG1 had an actual Moonblade in it, realistically available by level 2 or 3. Of course, only Xzar could us it, so that was a big Nope for me.) The OP was riffing on one of Liarcor's lines (well done, sir)

Xan, not Xzar. The depressive elf. I liked him. He reminded me of Ed Tollett from the Song of Ice and Fire books.
And yes, Lilacor - the sword, that never shuts up.

"We are all stories in the end. Just make it a good one."
I liked Lilarcor, which is why I I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If I do a playthrough with Minsc in the party, I'll always give Lilarcor to him. I find that funny and as a sword Lilarcor is really good. Enchantment is +3, annoying effects like fear and confusion are not an issue anymore... Also, being a magical weapon, Lilarcor could very well still exist 100 years after BG2. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing him, or a similar weapon in the game, possibly even tied to a fun side quest.
Damn right, Lilarcor (90% of the time I forget that second l) is a helluva good sword, particularly as its available early and no really hard fights to get to it.
