Just did the Priestess Gut fight. Before her initiative after fight began, Shadowheart successfully cast Silence on PG (showed up in PG's status. Yet, in spite of this, PG was able to both call for help AND cast spells while standing smack in the middle of the silence. And if a PC or friendly NPC was in the radius of the Silence, THEY were unable to cast spells. Completely useless.

Silence has been essentially "broken" from the start. Not sure Larian will ever bother looking into it.

By "broken" I mean that the way it is described (stops sounds) and the way it is coded are visibly 2 very different things (I suspect the code to be a simple "creatures cannot cast spells").

Just like the game has barely any notion of time, it isn't clear that the game can handle sounds. I'm not sure Larian can or will re-code the spell to really work in a systemic way.

I hope that, eventually, someone in charge of writing the tooltips will rewrite that of Silence to "creatures in the Silence area cannot cast magic spells".

Well, when you look at panel of hell, one of last thing that funny Tiefling was saying was about Silence ...
I know he was almost not heared over that printer. :-/
But Swen (who was loud enough) specificly repeated "Silence is good word right now" ... so i dare to presume there will be some fixation.
