Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Cannot patch on GoG

I tried updating through Galaxy... It got all the way to 92% before it froze up (it usually freezes 2-3 times during an update), I went into task manager and killed it, as I always do when it freezes, then restarted it. It came back and instead of picking up where it left off, like it normally does, it went to 3% and froze again. I've restarted about a dozen times now and it keeps locking at that 3%. I went to GoG.com to manually download the patch, but it says the latest version is 4.1.90.6165 and when I download the offline installer for that one and run it it says that it is already installed. Does anyone know what the actual patch # should be?

My version says 4.1.99.983

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of. It seems the offline installer for the patch is not live on GoG.com yet... which means no patch for me at this time.

I am trying a new tactic. I noticed that quite a bit of info was in the "!Temp" file... So I am copying that over to the main folder and letting it rewrite as it wishes. Hopefully, that's the 92% I had earlier and it will get me a kickstarter to resume the patch. It is taking forever and a day just to copy over though.

I updated with Galaxy and that also happened to me. I paused the download and closed galaxy, reopened it, resumed the download and it started back up and it was done PDQ. Maybe that will do it.
