Yes i am an old school video/computer game head. I have seen a consistent theme through the major Dungeons and Dragons CRPG Series. Starting with Goldbox from Pool of Radiance through Pools of Darkness, or the Dargonlance Series, and continued through Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 and all of the expansion/DLC they all had a logistical function in common. That was the persistence of the character sheets. At the start of the adventure we made these characters and they were our characters. Through engine upgrades and point releases we never needed to remake our characters. Now i know this is essentially beta however the ability to import and export your character or have your core character data separate is not a function Larian is known for and i beg of them to think about this in the development cycle for this game. Look at Solasta. They recognize this and include it. It makes for the ability for you to interact with so many potential other stories in the future for your persona. I hope this is read and considered.

This is not a slam at Larian, i am a huge fan, have kickstarted their prior games, and made this a minute 1 purchase once EA was available. This is just an observation and a request.
