For the final version of the game it would be nice to have small side quests which trigger when you gain a new level with a main character or when you get new characters added to your party which help introduce some of their new found powers. Maybe your companion’s dialog can help guide you towards the solution to a problem which relies on a key ability your character possesses. This way it feels more natural and less like a tutorial, but still helps players discover key abilities their characters have. I have played BG3 for a while now and I am still learning things I wish I knew when I first started. BG3 has so much awesomeness that it is easy to overlook some critical action characters can do if you don’t look over every detail in the character sheet or spell descriptions. Even when you do look them over you may miss something subtle which could make the game experience even better. I see posts like, “BG3 is too hard”. I can totally see this if you don’t know some key capabilities your characters have. I played a mage on the first playthrough and used find familiar to summon the different forms. When I got Wyll I saw the find familiar spell and though it was the same as the mage. I just realized that he can summon a flying imp and that is a game changer for that class. If there were really short quests that somehow introduced new players to some of the cooler things some characters can do it may help folks who don’t play a ton of games like DOS come up to speed quicker and get more enjoyment out of the game.
